For those of you who want to add more storage to your Samsung Vibrant, the maximum you can go is a 32GB micro SD card by SanDisk (currently).
Of course, you can also swap your micro SD cards to have essentially an “unlimited” storage.
This 32GB micro SD card is actually “Class 2″, meaning it would take a long time to transfer files over 500MB.
Here’s a comparable chart of what the “class” means:
- Class 2 = 2MB/s
- Class 4 = 4MB/s
- Class 6 = 6MB/s
- Class 8 = 8MB/s
- Class 10 = 10MB/s
If you want the “fastest” micro SD card, you will want to go with a higher class. Class 10 is 5 times faster than Class 2, so if you are always in a hurry and you want to use your Samsung Vibrant as a substitute for your USB Flash, you will want to go with the highest.
Of course, the highest class 10 micro SD card with most storage right now is at 16GB by Kingston.

Has anyone tried the Kingston Class 10 16GB card on their Vibrant (or other phone)? How does it perform? Is it really class 10? i.e. minimum 10MB/sec data transfer. Thanks.
